New Psychologist at Division Taking Referrals


We are pleased to announce that we have a new psychologist with us, Dr. Alan Headey. 

 Initially, Alan will see patients on a Thursday and Friday at the Division at Unit 1B, 172 Evans Rd., Salisbury. 

Alan has a fantastic skill set, which GPs should find really useful.  Alan received his Doctorate in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Melbourne, and has three years clinical experience. 

 Alan has a special interest in the following areas:

  • Relationship therapy;
  • The treatment of anxiety and depression in General Practice; 
  • Treatment of people with chronic disease and chronic pain;
  • An interest in young people aged 12-24;
  • Men’s mental health.

Referrals can be sent to the division on PO Box 211, Salisbury QLD 4107, or you can contact Alan directly on 07 3306 1059 or 0435 168 435.

 Alan will be seeing patients under Better Access to Mental Health, so patients will be charged a co-payment for this service.  Essentially the service is intended as a high quality referral option for GPs in the local area.
